Personal wine consulting: Le Chai is available to provide wine for your next family reunion, wedding reception, or your dinner this evening. Bottle prices range from $10.00 to $300.00, although the vast majority of wine sold and recommended at Le Chai sells from $15 - $30. Indeed, there are relatively few reasons to pay more than this for any wine. More times than not, price is not a single indicator of quality. Although supply and demand obviously affect a wine's ultimate price, it is generally the winemaker’s ego/salary that drives up price. There is a weak, albeit positive, correlation between price and quality. Moreover, Le Chai offers suggestions on food and wine pairings and encourages you to act on this advice. Why spend the time and energy cooking a proper meal to then drink an inappropriate wine? If you aren't sure what wine to serve, simply ask. Intimidation or possible embarrassment should not be a factor when purchasing wine, and is definitely against the spirit of Le Chai. Corporate wine consulting: Le Chai is available for corporate wine tastings and socials. A standard package includes four wines for up to thirty people, an introduction to each wine including an explanation of the producer, description of the physical region in which the house is located, the methods used in the wine making process, and finally leading the group through a proper tasting and analysis of the wine. Wine List Consulting: Christian Depken twice won a Wine Spectator award while wine manager at Cafe Metropole in Savannah, Georgia. The breadth and depth of Cafe Metropole's wine list in conjunction with the restaurant's menu dramatically increased the reputation of the Cafe.
