It seems that I am seeing more and more of the Temperance movement these days. This woman is definitely a card carrying member.
I checked out her website and came to the conclusion that she is totally insane. While I'm digging the purple silk number she's wearing in the 'Barbara Walters' head-shot, just read some of her comments under the 'Alcohol' tab. Apparently there is a conspiracy among those in the medical field to put the kibosh on the real poop: Alcohol will kill you and everything around you. Some of my biggest clients are doctors, both practicing and retired. Is this because they have more money than your average college student? Probably. Is this because the don't know any better? I doubt it.

The Temperance movement is definitely alive and well.
MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) finally succeeded in getting Congress and Clinton to pass and sign legislation lowering the per se Blood Alcohol Limit to 0.08 in 2000. The states had four years to lower their limits or face the threat of losing federal tax dollars. End result, even Louisiana (who famously fought for states rights when the Feds withheld dollars from states that did not raise the minimum driking age) lowered their limits earlier this year.
MADD had lobbied for twenty years to get the BAC limits down to 0.08, so did they celebrate their vicotry and dedicate their efforts in other areas? Not really. MADD immediately started lobbying for 0.05 with a stated goal of 0.02 BAC limits for drunk driving.
MADD seems like a temperance movemen wrapped up in the emotional (and legitimate) fervor surrounding drunk driving. Is MADD anti-drunk driving or anti-drinking. It seems that it is more the latter.
